During our Sunday service, we run groups for children up to around 13 years old. We take seriously teaching the Bible to all ages at an appropriate level and with lots of fun and interaction!
The children start off in the service with their parents or carers, moving to their groups in the adjoining rooms when indicated by the service leader. Parents can stay briefly with their children if needed, until they are settled, and are then encouraged to rejoin the service.
There is a space available for parents of young babies to sit with an audio-visual link to the main service. Pre-schoolers can listen to a true story from the Bible, sing some Christian songs, say a prayer and do a simple craft to help them learn about Jesus.
Children aged 5-13 have a an introductory activity, and then split into age-specific groups to learn more about the day’s Bible passage and pray. They learn through discussion, memory verses, crafts and games that all link to the teaching point of the day.
We run a Destination Church programme for those of around 13 years of age, encouraging them to think about how they can get the most out of a sermon and a Sunday service, and how they can use their God give skills to serve within the body of Christ.
All our youth and children's teams here at Trinity are DBS checked and work hard to plan appropriate activities for this age group who seem to have boundless energy and can be very excitable – it’s great!
